Engine and gearbox are fitted, just setting up the davise craig pump. Getting the tailshaft made, finish some wiring. Fuel pump is all hard connections now with no rubber hoses and hoseclamps on the high pressure side as before - that worried me. |

I'm setting up for a Davies
Craig electric water pump to allow me to get more room and
remove a parasitic water pump. Removed the impellor internals
and cut and welded the nose.

Front view.
With fan in place. I wanted to keep the fan on the back where
it was originally designed to go with the turbo setup as it's
more efficent pulling than pushing. |

LS1 in Statesman ready to remove.

Rack - you can see clearance to sump in these shots. GM Motorsport
sump is as smll as they come, and 1/3 the price of the CRS sump
(and prettier, and after my and other's recent experiences, fits
better!). |

More rack and sump. You can see the LS2 filter I picked up
at my local Holden Dealer - Commonwealth Motors - Thanks Jeffrey
and Daniel! This filter is small enough that you could take another
50mm off the sum if you needed extra ground clearance.
Working on clearances to column, foundout you can easily swap
a lot of steering parts - common uni joint size between a mazda
and a commodore! |

 |
More clearance resolving. Long term I'm going to go to a commodore
front as I have a friend who has done a couple and is happy to help
me do one. Much better steering, handling and a standard front commodore
sump drops in the big opening! |
